Explosion-proof classifications include additional information referred to as class, and division. group, and T-rating to identify the specific applications to which the explosion-proof light of component is suited. Classes and divisions define the type of location, while groups elaborate on this further by detailing specific types of materials and chemicals. T-rating also helps by establishing temperature limits for the safe operation of the light or component in hazardous locations.
